Daniel Álvarez Valenzuela

Attorney-at-law specialized in technology, with more than 18 years of experience in public, private and not-for-profit organizations. He was the Executive Officer in charge of the Chilean Inter-ministry Cybersecurity Committee.

University professor in intellectual property rights, cybersecurity, cyberdefense and privacy at the Law School in Universidad de Chile and at the Academia Nacional de Estudios Políticos y Estratégicos. He is the Academic Director of the Computing Law Research Center at the Law School in Universidad de Chile. Founder and Chief Editor of the Chilean Magazine in Law and Technology, and creator of the Diploma in Cybersecurity. Founder of the NGO Derechos Digitales.

Bachelor in Law and Social Sciences, Diploma in Computing Law, and Master in Public Law, all by Universidad de Chile. Currently, he is doing doctoral research in cybersecurity and privacy.
